I had a number ready for the room when I walked in.
Seventy-two healthcare leaders. Clinic directors, medical officers, nursing leaders. People who spend their days solving healthcare’s most persistent problems.
The number was 8,736.
That is how many hours a year every person in that room manages their own health without a provider present. Professional care gets 24 hours. I know personally that I have seen my own provider twice this year, so 24 is already generous.
The room got quiet.
In this episode, I teach the five-pillar self-management framework I shared that day. It is built on research, built on what I have learned coaching hundreds of healthcare workers and patients, and built on what I practice in my own life.
This is the one skill set I believe can heal healthcare from the inside out. It starts with you. Then it travels to everyone you serve.
Press play.
I am rooting for your success! Karla
